Alexia is an experienced tax advisor with over 15 years of professional experience in the fields of local and international taxation, offering tax compliance and tax advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients (trading, investment, financial services, real estate, shipping companies, high net worth individuals).
She commenced her career back in 2000 with PWC Cyprus where she qualified as a chartered certified accountant (ACCA) in 2003. In 2006, Alexia undertook the position of Financial Manager in Thomas Cook Cyprus Ltd and in 2007, she joined the Tax team of Deloitte Cyprus as a Supervisor where she got progressively promoted to the position of a Tax Director in 2016. She was also a facilitator for the Deloitte trainees in Cyprus and devoted a significant amount of time in developing and coaching other members of the tax team.
In 2016, Alexia left Deloitte Cyprus to pursue her career in providing tax advisory services as a freelancer, where she was given the opportunity to act as the independent tax consultant to the Members of the Cyprus Tax Tribunal for a period of two years. Alexia is the holder of a BA (Hons) in Accounting & Management from the University of Essex and a qualified accountant. She is also a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ACA) and of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC).
