According to the “Directive regarding the certifications of persons and the public register” (RAD 499/2012) as amended in 2013, it is compulsory that certified persons need to undergo annual training to satisfy the criterion of Continuing Professional Development in order to maintain their certification. This seminar aims primarily to satisfy the CPD requirement of CySEC by offering an update to the current developments of the Cyprus Law regarding CIFs and their obligations.
The aim is to update participants with the current requirements and guidelines issued by CYSEC on Market Abuse and Money Laundering Legislation, regarding the provision of Investment Services.
After the completion of this seminar, participants will update their knowledge with regards to the recent developments regarding the Money Laundering legislation for listed companies. Specifically the areas covered will include: Anti-money laundering legislation and Directives in Cyprus and the 4th AML European Directive which will come into force in June 2017 The existing legislation on Insider Dealing and Market Abuse will also be discussed.
The participants will also gain an in depth understanding of the changes that will be brought forward by the new Market Abuse European Directive (MAD II). Candidates will be able to identify the operational changes that will have to be made in their organisations to ensure compliance with the new legislation.
This seminar is addressed to Employees and Managers of Cyprus Investment firms, financial institutions and banks who offer investment services, Service Providers, Compliance and AML Officers, as well as Internal Auditors in medium to high level positions.
